As a child Sue-Anne Hickey was constantly drawing and painting. In 1991 she began practicing yoga, embarking on a path of self discovery and spirituality that ultimately led her to become a yoga teacher and renewed her passion to create. She explored various mediums, choosing watercolor. This allowed her the choice of expression in soft transparent colors or bold dramatic shapes

A native of Montreal, Sue-Anne has often escaped to the beautiful Laurentian Mountains north of the city. Through her depiction of the landscapes that mean so much to her, she gives us a glimpse of the beauty she experiences. In her works she endeavors to impart the calmness, tranquillity and equanimity she strives towards in her own life.

In the frantic pace of our world Sue-Anne indulges the need to slow down. She attempts to capture the present moment in the magical brilliance often overlooked in flowers and nature. She seeks to depict the extraordinary in the ordinary, so that others can pause and enjoy.
