Sara became a “nature girl” at an early age.  Raised in rural Pennsylvania, she spent her childhood surrounded by fields and forests.  Her grandmother’s flower gardens were a source of fascination, as well as her grandmother’s paintings.  Drawing and painting came naturally as a child, and the love of flowers and colour continues to present day.  The use of vibrant colours in her paintings mimics a garden in full bloom.  Sara produces her brightest and most detailed paintings during the winter months while confined indoors by the harsh elements and surrounded by a colourless landscape.  When the earth warms once again in spring, Sara has trouble sitting still.  The birds are singing, the flowers are growing and nature calls…
