I received a DEC in Illustration and Design from Dawson in 1981, and I have worked since then as a technical illustrator, children’s book illustrator and mural painter. I am now at Concordia working towards a Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing. I work in oil, pastel, coloured pencils, and lately, egg tempera. I am a figurative painter, and I draw my inspiration from nature, from the people in my life, from dreaming and pondering. Painting for me is a way to express what is closest to my heart, a way to work through issues and crystallize meanings, and a way to explore what life is about. It is a psychological and a spiritual, as well as an artistic practice.
