David Kalant is a West Island resident who has been making photographs for over 20 years. He was stimulated by the teachings of visual design at a workshop with Freeman Patterson and Andre Gallant. From trips into the wilderness, to his own backyard, his primary inspiration is the natural world. His experimentation with different techniques results in photographs that are sometimes “impressionist” or abstract.
