Exhibition June 11-18, 2008

Caroline Ostiguy is an artist residing in Montreal. She began her explorations in art as a teenager, focusing mostly on photography and later turned her attention towards drawing and painting. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 25, she discovered a newfound passion for the arts and its therapeutic properties.

The inspiration for her work is mostly brought about by her fight with MS. The appearance she presents may be one of functioning normalcy while she actually feels sick and broken. She is left with first-hand knowledge that appearances can be deceiving and this is expressed in her work.
